No man’s land

Op zaterdag 28 juli 2007 heeft voor het eerst Belgian Urban Golf Open plaats. Locatie van Belgian Urban Golf Open is Maasmechelen Leisure Valley, Met de mijnschachten als majestueus decor. Vertrek met starttijden in Maasmechelen Village tussen 9 en 16 uur.

IEDEREEN KAN DEELNEMEN
Iedereen kan inschrijven voor Belgian Urban Golf Open: golfer of niet-golfer, Belg of niet-Belg, jong en minder jong.
Een golfvaardigheidsbewijs is niet nodig.
Er zijn geen kledingvoorschiften en geen ingewikkelde reglementen.

COURSE VAN 18 HOLES EN COURSE VAN 9 HOLES
Spelers die een golfhandicap hebben of hadden, kunnen alleen inschrijven voor het parcours van 18 holes.
Deelnemers zonder huidige of vroegere golfhandicap kunnen voor een van beide courses inschrijven.
Op het einde van de kampioenschappen zijn er als winnaars:

• Laureaat Belgian Urban Golf Open 18 Holes
• Laureaat Belgian Urban Golf Open 9 Holes
• Belgisch kampioen urban golf 2007
  (de hoogst geplaatste deelnemer aan de course van 18 holes met de Belgische nationaliteit)

RANDACTIVITEITEN
Een aantal randactiviteiten zullen het event nog meer kleur geven:

• Initiatie urban golf
• Start To Golf van de Vlaamse Vereniging voor Golf
• Urban golf in de deelnemende winkelcentra (win waardebonnen)

De deelnameprijs voor Belgian Urban Golf Open 18 Holes bedraagt 10 euro, die voor Belgian Urban Golf Open 9 Holes is 5 euro.

In the UK, the first audition show of “Britain’s Got Talent” on ITV has probably launched the career of a guy named Paul Potts. Paul is a salesman for The Carphone Warehouse, where he sells mobile phones. His performance of “Nessun Dorma“, part of Puccini’s “Turandot” opera has made a great impression on many people. Below is a video of his appearance, of which he said to be very nervous.

My opinion?
This is one of the most impressive voices I heard for years, although Mariza and Cristina Branco still are my favorites. The last one is coming to the Blue Note Records Festival in Gent on 15/07/2007)
