All the best for 2007!

I would like to wish every single one of you a very healthy and successful 2007. I know that 2006 wasn’t a good year for some of you but I truly believe that the upcoming year will be better.

For me, 2006 was a good year full of opportunities and a lot of new insights, offered to me by a lot of generous people. I got in touch with a lot of nice people who shared their knowledge with me and I want to thank them all. I learned a lot during the last 12 months and there is a lot more to learn ahead. Becoming 30 in 2007, a lot of things seem to fall into place recently. I know I didn’t made enough time for most of you, not as much as you all deserve. A big THANK YOU to all those people who support me in everything I do. It’s thanks to people like you that people like me reach their goals, succeed in what they intend to do. If one grows as an individual, it’s thanks to the people who surround him/her.

Looking forward to all the wonderful moments 2007 will bring to us all. Thank you all for being “on board” of my 2006 train, I hope you will stay on board during the next few months and years.

regards,
Kris

Rackham Music

For those of you who like jazz, check out www.rackham.biz. They recently launched their first CD named “JUANITA K” and since I like the group’s name, they deserve some promotion :-)

For the record, they are not related, not that I know that is!

Viagra for woman?

BusinessWeek has an interesting article about Boehringer Ingelheim GmbH. This German drug maker developed the molecule “Flibanserin” several years ago as an antidepressant. Trials in humans halted the development of the promising drug, but Boehringer Ingelheim found out it could be used for something else too.

Pfizer had discovered Viagra while searching for something else and made it one of their blockbusters since then. Boehringer Ingelheim seems to have discovered the “female counterpart” of Viagra.

Boehringer Ingelheim seems to have launched four major clinical trials to get FDA approval by 2009. If this works out, they have a possible blockbuster in their pipeline that will bring them a lot of profit and the chance to develop even more promising drugs. Even when things don’t work out as planned, sexual problems at least are no longer a typical male problem. Other drug makers are working hard to find a drug that has the same effect on woman that Viagra has for men.

For those of you who are active in trading stocks, Boehringer Ingelheim is family owned since over 170 years and therefore not listed on any stock market.

Knock-off lamp

The “knock-off lamp” is build like a regular bowling pin but acts like a lamp. The lamp is working while standing and can only be turned off by laying it down (see below). If you live in the US, owning one will cost you $22.

Golf in Vlaanderen

  • 0 – 25 jaar : 14%
  • 26 – 45 jaar : 24%
  • 46 – … jaar : 62%

Leden per provincie

  • Antwerpen : 38%
  • Brussels Hoofdstedelijk Gewest : 1%
  • Limburg : 11%

Audi R8 microsite

Audi launched a microsite to promote the R8 model, as some of you might have seen it on the 2005 Brussels Motorshow. You can find it trough the www.audi.com website or by going directly to it by clicking here.

Build with Adobe Flash, the microsite covers all features of the R8 model in an interface similar to games like Need For Speed.
