No man’s land

If you are working with Adobe Flash, you know that it’s almost impossible to change your Flash movie once you exported it to the .SWF format. Your .FLA source file can’t be displayed in a webbrowser and your .SWF couldn’t be changed, not even in Adobe Flash itself. Think again after trying Eltima‘s Flash Decompiler.

Earlier today, I saw a preview of “Belgium, the movie” on the news (Eén, 19:00).
It’s a film with airial shots of the most beautiful places in Belgium. Shot in HD, mounted under a helicopter. I saw some VERY nice scenes, so if you read this and you know more about this movie .. please let me know!

Je ooit afgevraagd wie de stem is die zo veel filmtrailers inspreekt? Zijn naam is Don LaFontaine en Nicodemus heeft er op deze post beelden van.

Doet me denken aan een trailer voor de film “Comedian” van Jerry Seinfeld. Niet ingesproken door Don LaFontaine, wel door Hal Douglas.

Gisteren met vrienden naar de Urban Golf Day op de Antwerp Skyline Course geweest. Een namiddag “urban golfen” op de Antwerpse linkeroever, beter bekend als St. Anneke. Had er eerder iets van gelezen op www.urban-golf.be en was onmiddellijk gewonnen voor het idee. Mensen die me een beetje kennen weten dat ik golf omwille van de sport zelf, niet omwille van het elitaire imago dat een aantal clubs in stand houden. Bij Urban Golf zou dit compleet anders zijn, dat wou ik wel eens proberen.

Urban Golf?
Golf wordt meestal gespeeld op een speciaal daarvoor aangelegde “golfcourse”, zoals je die kan vinden in Knokke en een 80 andere clubs in België. Bij Urban Golf wordt een stedelijke omgeving gebruikt als speelterrein. Parken, gebouwen en monumenten zijn maar enkele van de mogelijke “targets” die de klassieke “hole” vervangen. Het team van Urban Golf Belgium (één iemand in het bijzonder) was heel vriendelijk en heeft voor een leuke namiddag gezorgd. Het parcours, dat langs de Schelde was georganiseerd, zorgde voor héél mooie uitzichten op het Antwerpse stadscentrum.

Lekker eten
Het voor de gelegenheid gebruikte clubhouse was Plaasj Kaffee, waar de winnaar van de dag zijn fles champagne mocht openen. Omdat Plaasj Kaffee een prima keuken was dat ook de ideale plaats om een hapje te eten. Na de lange wandeling (golf is vooral wandelen) hebben we ons laten gaan en het mag gezegd, lekker gegeten en gedronken. Ben hier al enkele keren gaan eten en het valt me telkens weer reuze mee, proficiat aan het team van Plaasj Kaffee!

Free lunch, free drinks, free laptops? Leah Culver got herself a free laptop by offering advertising space on the MacBook Pro she wanted to buy. This simple idea got her a shiny laptop, completely etched with logotypes of advertisers who payed $150 for one square inch of advertising space on top of the machine.

Her friendly smile and the fact that she looks rather pretty (absolutely gorgious, stunning, breathtaking, the list goes on) might have helped her :-)
